UMSRS 2026 at a Glance
UMSRS 2026 will take place over 2.5 days; it kicks off on Sunday night with dinner and a keynote presentation and concludes on Wednesday before lunch. The Symposium is single-track (no concurrent sessions) so that all attendees hear all presentation and discussions. Keynote speakers will open each day followed by oral and poster presentations. Each day concludes with dinner together. All meals are included in the symposium registration price. A pre-symposium short course will be offered prior to the kickoff dinner.

Symposium Location
The Symposium will take place at the Radisson Hotel in La Crosse. The Radisson Hotel is conveniently located on the riverfront of the mighty Mississippi River. It is accessible by shuttle from the La Crosse airport or car from the surrounding area.
Call for Abstracts:
The call for abstracts for the 2026 UMSRS is now open. The deadline for oral abstracts has passed. We are accepting poster abstracts through February 2, 2026.

Registration is now open for UMSRS 2026. Register before December 31, 2025 to take advantage of Early Bird rates! Learn more about registration fees and deadlines.
Lodging:
Lodging is not included in the symposium price. A block of rooms at the Radisson Hotel La Crosse have been reserved with a special conference rate of $134 per night (plus tax). Ask for the Upper Midwest Stream Restoration Rate when booking. Room rate is valid through January 21, 2026. Additional information about lodging can be found on the Venue page.
