UMSRS 2027 at a Glance
UMSRS 2027 will take place over 2.5 days; it kicks off on Sunday night with dinner and a keynote presentation and concludes on Wednesday before lunch. The Symposium is single-track (no concurrent sessions) so that all attendees hear all presentation and discussions. Keynote speakers will open each day followed by oral and poster presentations. Each day concludes with dinner together. All meals are included in the symposium registration price. A pre-symposium short course will be offered prior to the kickoff dinner.
Symposium Location
The Symposium will take place at the Confluence Hotel at Hastings. The Confluence Hotel is located right along the Mississippi River in the historic downtown area. It is approximately 24 miles from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). See below for lodging information.
Call for Abstracts:
The call for abstracts for the 2027 UMSRS is now open. The deadline for oral abstract is October 23, 2026 and poster abstracts is January 31, 2027.

Lodging:
Lodging is not included in the symposium price. A block of rooms at the The Confluence Hotel have been reserved with a special conference rate of $139 per night (plus tax). Ask for the Upper Midwest Stream Restoration Rate when booking. Room rate is valid through February 1, 2027. Additional information about lodging can be found on the Venue page.
